Using Loaris Trojan Remover
Using Loaris Trojan Remover is simple as it can be. The GUI of the software gives you several options that you might refer to set your system free from malware aggression. Additionally, you can research all the Loaris options available.
Scan types and options
After you launch the application the system will start scanning process as shown on the screenshot below:

For a simple start of the computer scan you may click on the Scan tab and choose Standard scan button. Loaris Trojan Remover will show that the scan is taking place. You can stop the scan at any time by clicking the Stop button. After answering Yes at the confirmation message the scan will be cancelled. When the scan is completed Loaris Trojan Remover will display the list of threats (if found) that were checked for removal.

Four types of scan are available. The Standard scan quickly scans the system with no need for further configuration of the scan parameters. The Full scan gives a chance to scan all folders on your PC, whereas the Custom scan allows the user to select any of the folders for scan. Also this option can explore windows’ modules, giving you a chance to scan ActiveX components, Windows services, IE extensions and startup links. The Removable scan scans all your USB-disks currently attached to the computer.

It is good if the computer on which you’re running Loaris Trojan Remover is clean and free from viruses. In this case you will receive the following message:
However, if the infected items were detected by Loaris Trojan Remover please make sure to delete them all completely:

Updating Loaris
To make sure the database is up-to-date to provide the maximum protection we strongly recommend you to update the program first by clicking “Update” button in the upper left part of the main screen.
A regular update of the system is the basic premise for obtaining the maximum level of security provided by Loaris Trojan Remover. The Update module ensures that the program is always up-to- date. This is done in two ways – by updating the virus signature database and by updating the application.
Information about the current update status can be found by clicking the Update tab, including the current version of the virus signature databases. In addition, the option is given to activate the update process immediately by clicking Update button.

The information window also contains details such as the date and time of the last successful update.
Obtaining and sending log files for analysis
Loaris Trojan Remover also gives you a chance to get log files after each scan. Simply click Log Files tab and the window will appear with all log files available.
Log files are necessary to get a detailed report of the scan process with a specific description of each action taken with regard to malware found on your PC.

In some cases, if the problem persists, we might ask you to save the log file and send it to us for analysis of other actions that might be taken to make sure your computer is fully protected.
Extra Tools for your PC

Reset Browser Settings
Some Malware programs change the Browser Home, Start and Search Page settings to re-direct the web browser to different websites. This Utility will reset the Home/Start/Search pages to standard Defaults.
Reset HOSTS file
The Windows HOSTS file is a text file that stores website addresses. The file can be used to speed up access to websites you often visit – by equating the website name (e.g., microsoft.com) with its DNS address, the web browser can find the website more quickly as it does not have to query a DNS Name Server.
Some Malware add entries to this file to either deny access to websites (usually security-related or antivirus company websites) or to re-direct access to websites of their choosing.
Reset Windows Update Policies
Some Malware programs attempt to prevent Windows Update from running and inhibit access to resetting Windows Update by blanking out the Windows Update options on the Update configuration screen.
This Utility will check the current Windows Update settings and correct them where necessary.
Collect System Information
This option allows us to obtain the information about various threats, viruses, malware, and pests available on your computer, give the proper recommendations, arrange software updates to fix the problem/eradicate the malware.
If we request such information from you, please send it to us for our analysis using the customer ticket support system.
Quarantined items
If you instruct Loaris Trojan Remover at the end of each scan to get rid of all infected files, those files that are necessary for your PC but are at the same time infected with trojans could also be deleted. This could impact the normal operating parameters and functionality of your system or applications you regularly use.

Quarantine plays a kind of nice middle ground since it moves the file to safe storage under the control of Loaris Trojan Remover – so it can’t harm your system – but it’s there in case a mistake was made, and you need to restore that important file.
Thus, in some cases, when there are doubts about whether to delete all trojans found after each scan permanently, we recommend you to place supposedly infected files on quarantine. At any time, you will then be able to restore them or copy them to a certain safe location. If you are confident this is a trojan, you can delete it immediately.
Setting up your personalized Loaris
User preferences include the settings of a general character, as well as those connected with specific scan options.
General settings are also applied to other applications installed and running on your computer. Some users prefer the program to be started together with Windows operating system. Loaris Trojan Remover offers this option. However, in default settings, this option is turned off. In the same way, the user can adjust the program to perform a scan on every program startup and update the database up to the level providing maximum PC protection.
If any malware is detected, Loaris Trojan Remover will inform you about this with a specific sound signal. Thus you will be able to analyze the threat immediately and take corresponding actions.
Other available options include anonymously reporting statistics to the Loaris team and using a connection to do the Loaris database via proxy server.

Choosing alternative Scan options is recommended for more experienced computer users.
The first option already set by default is an application by Loaris of heuristic rules during each scan. The key advantage of this scan settings option is the ability of Loaris Trojan Remover to detect known and unknown viruses based on common characteristics shared by different viruses. However, the information provided using a heuristic scan should be treated with caution. The summary information is generated using complex and sophisticated methods, which are difficult to interpret. Thus, if you notice that a suspicious file has been identified, we recommend that you send it to the Loaris Customer Support Service for further study and analysis.
Please take notice of the deep scan (slow) option. This mode goes through the entire hard drive to find infected files (if available). This is a far more thorough method, but it also takes a lot longer if you have a large drive.
If you are optimistic that your PC does not contain any suspicious packers, loaders, and incomplete files, you may ignore these options during your customized scan. In the same manner, you may ignore files that are larger than 64 MB if you want to speed up the scan process.
If there are any errors during the scan – the system will automatically warn you about them, provided you choose this scan settings option. If such errors are found – make sure to notify the Loaris Customer Support Team immediately.

However, please be careful enough with the scan, as mentioned earlier options. If you are not confident enough to enable or disable some of them – please get in touch with Loaris for further assistance.
If you know some “safe” program that Loaris saw like malware, add it to the “Ignore list” so Loaris won’t scan it like a virus.
